There are different types of dredges, which are characterized by the suction mechanism they use, their overall size and the capacity of the engine which powers them. There are five types of Keene gold dredges; the 2 inch, 2.5 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch and 6 inch dredges. The difference between these dredges is their suction capacity, lightness and the capacity of the engine which powers them. The devices are powered by Honda engines; however, each of the models is powered by an engine with a different horsepower. Comparatively, the 6 inch dredge can achieve the highest level of suction while the 2 inch dredge is the lightest. All the devices are highly portable and can be easily transported.
